My Ears are Itching

Truth Minute: My Ears are Itching!
“For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear what they want to hear. They will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths.”
2 Timothy 4:3-4
Itching ears has always been a problem. But now because of social media its spreading faster. People will find who they want to listen to even if they already have a sound pastor/teacher in place. But be warned there is a judgment that is embedded with that mindset…and you will get exactly what you are looking for and all the calamity that comes with it. To be clear there are lots of good teachers, conferences, meetings that one can attend…just be mindful that there needs to be a filter (Ask your Pastor or Godly leader about the message or people/speaker, and if it aligns with the scriptures FIRST).
Remember that Eve needed Adam to be a filter from the enemies forked tongue that had (some truth in it) but “HE/Adam didn’t step up and ask “why did you take this” NOR did She/Eve ask him for his input” and the entire family went through intense trouble (introducing what they learned from a forbidden mouthpiece)…it is no different today. People rather not ask because they already know what they want. People rather not step up because they dont want to upset the house. Be safe out there! For those with itching ears, I will watch pray and stay out your way. For those that don’t there is a blessing that will transform your bloodline for generations.
2 Timothy 3:6–9 (ESV)
6 For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions,
7 always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.
8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith.
9 But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men.
Although scripture does not tell us what the trees look like (jewish historians believe that the tree was a fig tree since an apron was made to cover their shame). One can surmise that they outwardly look the same but their fruit was different (tree of life has 12 different types of fruit). Either way, counsel was given by God and it was rejected while the counsel of the enemy was considered without any real scrutiny. The stakes are too high to ignore what feeds you.
